Hello everybody,
A well known tuner told me the following:
"If you install a modified hose from the intercooler to the turbo you can win 10bhp,
because the normal Subaru hose is full of nooks and crannies. The hose only costs
you about 120£."
What do you think of that, any experiences?
He also said that there are special hoses for the intercooler.
I'm not sure but I think the material of the hoses is silicon?
Where could I get a hose like that as cheap as possible?

Hi Ric.
I dont where to get them but I can confirm the poor shape. I removed my intercooler recently to investigate possible improvements to the flow and concluded that there was probably little to gain by re-working the existing parts. MY99 has a dual entry alloy intercooler so probably flows better that previous types.
P.S. If you do replace or remove these hoses remeber to re-tighten all the hose clips like I didnt, I now know what a force 10 gale under the bonnet sounds like.
