For those that haven't yet purchased a scoobysport rear box & ITG filter - you must.
The car now performs as I thought it should have, an awesome improvement especially after 4000rpm. The noise is not intrusive when on the motorway, just lovely when driving hard.

Now what next, any ideas MY99?

Get a ScoobySport downpipe!

It will invalidate your warrenty, and you may fail your MOT, but drive a car with one on. You will ask yourself how you ever lived without it!

It revs up quicker to the redline, and the improvement in throttle response is incredible!

See a post in General called 'ScoobySport Downpipe' for other owners opinions.

Surely the thing to do for my99 car owners is to wait for the Power Eng downpipe c/w high flow cat?

Go for some suspension - Prodrive or LEDA. Make the car handle as well as it sounds.
Reckon on about £1200 (guesstimate!).

Guys, thanks for the responses. I can't invalidate warranties but the suspension sounds good. Opinions happily received. The suspension can't be too firm as I do 20k miles a year.

Thanks

I have the Prodrive stuff and its not uncomfortable - less body roll, better composure through corners, much better handling all round, and remains within warranty. I hear LEDA is just as good but is adjustable too - relatively soft for every day, harder for weekends and trackdays; just wind the **** behind the wheel. Enjoy!

Any chance of getting rid of BPM? They're really starting to irritate me. If they want us to look at their stuff, they're welcome to publish *once* their URL and phone number etc, but not a 50 line advertising slogan. If this carries on I think we should all push to get them chucked out...

I read the threads for impartial experience of real drivers, not a sales drive!

BPM - surely this kind of thing is best kept on your own web site/catalogue? A one-liner telling us your web address would have done. My scroll bar's knackered after wading through that!

Are you sure that Subaru UK recommends Scoobysport products???
I was under the impression that adding even a back box voids the guarantee unless it is done by Prodrive.

I would recommend adjustable suspension and a brake upgrade, and then spend any other money on track days. You can leave the engine alone as with the upgrades as mentioned, you will be amazed with the cars performance.

This site is run by enthusiasts FOR enthusiasts and I have not met a bigger enthusiast than Pete Croney.

I listen to the advice on various Products from all contributors and make ( hopefully ) an objective decision.

I would happily recommend any PRODRIVE or ScoobySport Product, because I have had experience of both and if Subaru UK recomend BOTH then that's good enough for me.

Good products sell themselves.

On the additions I would recommend a set of Brembo stoppers ( courtesy of Scooby Sport )
because I have had experience of them.

I was told by my Dealer that the Scooby Sport back box did not invalidate my warranty. They even fitted it for me.

I did hear that Subaru UK gave out Scooby Sports number when faced with a query regarding Aftermarket exhausts along with Prodrive's.

This was only hearsay so perhaps Pete could confirm or deny the latter.

Take a look in IMs car park and then make a decision

One other point about ScoobySport backboxes. I was talking to another tuning company in the London area and they reckon that the SS B/B is lower quality. What do you think? They also said that they have far better knowledge of Imprezas against companies like Graham Goode, Power Engineering etc who have only been in the market for 10 mins

IMHO Both Prodrive and ScoobySport offer excellent exhausts. Have had both, Scoobysport BB on my MY96 and Full Prodrive on my RB5.

The only difference is the Scooby Sport sounds better throughout the range wheras the Prodrive one sounds good from 4,000 to 7,000 ( baffeled more I think ).
