It was recently suggested that the P1C would solve the mapping problems which lead to melted pistons in an STi-V.

Question is - does the P1C exist for the STi-V and will it make the engine safer with british fuels?

If so, I know what I'm getting me for my birthday

Ross.

PS - What's the cost?

The phase 1 conversion is so called because it works on phase 1 engines (pre 99MY cars).

The phase 2 conversion is being worked on at the moment. Best estimate at the moment quoted on the BBS has been 'in the next couple of months'.

Paul.

apparently Dave P is on Holiday at the moment, and on return is off to Japan again, to make further investigations into it.
