What make is it and what is the manufacturers part number? When you know ring up the manufacturer and ask them, it will probably be a Witter/Subaru/Bosal/Brinks one... The design did change, if it is off a similar 1998 car it should be ok, I think they were different between saloon and wagon though

My '98 saloon has a Witter on it.
I took it home from dealer, and put two coats of Hammerite on it, then took it back and had it fitted.
Did the electrics myself.
If you have a different back box on your car, you may have probs: the cross piece from the towbar fouled the b/b. Luckily the fitter was able to make a spacer for the b/b hanger.

I've a towbar on my scoob which I'm planning on taking off. I'm assuming its a genuine Subaru one becuase the rubber protector thingy has the Subaru logo on it.
It looks a ton weight, havent tried to take it off myself but it would be handy to keep the electrics in place - although I suppose that would stop me from the selling the thing...
