I do not know. The cars an MY99 so it has the alarm/imob but there was no damage to the door locks and the alarm was off (not sounding) when I got back. The alarm still works ok and I am sure I set it before leaving the car. If I see git again I'll beat the information out of him (even if he gives it freely). I've had 2 steros stolen from other cars before (albeit crap ones) so I have a long-term hate of tea-leaves.

Caught some git in my Scoob after shopping lastnight. He didn't cause any damage and seemed happy just to undu the bolts holding my Autochanger. Unluckily for him I did somw seious damage and had to be restrained by a friend before git was reduced to a total write-off.
I always position in a quiet corner of a car park so as to avoid dents. Unfortunatelt the attracts gits instead.

ARE you sure you set the alarm before you left? If you did, then I'd get my alarm checked.
At least now you'll DEFINITELY always set it!
And rather than park in the corners, where thieves and co. operate, I just use two spaces!!! Most people seem to understand why, in fact, I think I've started a new trend at my local Sainsburys!!!

WTG = Way to go, which is a bit of an Americanism I'm afraid....
>Parking
I like parking in the Mother & child parking section at the local Safeway. But still NEVER near a People Carrier!

I read a story once (forget what it was) describing some rich bloke who was a complete selfish b*st*rd. He even went to the length of having a disabled chauffeur so that he could park in disabled parking spaces.

Perhaps we can all carry a pot of black paint in the boot. Just paint the line in the middle of 2 spaces black and hey-presto, one nice wide space.
Maybe I did leave the alarm off. Self doubt is now creeping in. No police contact yet so git must of accepted his punishment or he didn't get my licience plate. Either way I think I'll avoid that car park for a few weeks.

Orville,
You are one lucky man!
Okay so you're not, because said git got into your car and nearly made off with the equipment. But hey, you've achieved an ambition that deep inside us we all probably have!
We've probably nearly all had stereos stolen at one time or another, and often worse than the material loss is the feeling of being singled out and attacked, all by someone you don't even kow (you hope).
In your case however, you managed to inflict some justice on him. I'm very happy for you, I feel satisfied just hearing about it!
Maybe next time he'll think twice about a Scooby, with the knowledge that the owners are proud and willing to prove it!

I agree with dmel. What would we say if we saw a Beemer parked in 2 spaces?
In my local area, I have a number of preferred parking spaces for the supermarket, bank, pet shop etc. If I can't park in those spaces, I just turn around & go home. Some NCP's have nice little spaces where you can fit one car on it's own.

Hi all.
I only double park when it's not too busy, and seeing as I do my shopping late at night, that's most of the time!!!
I'm not one of those 'rude' people, I promise!!!
Stef.(worried about being tarnished with a Beemer brush!!!)
