Question

As we head towards chillier weather I thought I'd give the heating in my car (MT99) a test towards the warmer end of the spectrum and failed dismally to raise the temp of the air exiting the vents more than a few degrees. Given the underbonnet temps I was expecting a more volcano like effect. The aircon is definitely turned off - at least that's what the LED indicates.

Has any one experienced / resolved the problem of warming their toes on the move?

When i tried my heating out, anything above the end of the blue line produces an amazing amount of heat, feels like an oven In fact there doesnt appear to be a warm setting, its Very Hot or Cold.

I complained to my dealer that the heat is off at 2 o'clock and full at 3 o'clock, and they said that that is normal on a MY99. My old MY96 with the old dash was properly adjustable.

I live in Scotland, well known for it's baking hot winters

Even on the coldest of days, I can only stand the heater on the highest setting for about 5 minutes before I need to turn it down, usually to a position just into the red.

Thanks all. I'll get the dealer to take a look.
