Question

Got the car serviced at 15K with the oil and the filter changed.

Now I’ve got a whistling/droning sound that’s worse when the car is cold.

It comes in at 1500rpm and varies with the pitch of the engine - I can even hold the sound at a certain pitch if I steady the throttle.

I checked to see if the filter casing had come loose but it was OK.

And no it’s not the turbo whistling but it does seem to be coming from the filter side of the engine.

This is driving me me absolutely mental!

Help!

Take it back! If it didn't do it before, point that out. Make them fix it.
