I have just removed one side of the wind deflectors I have fitted along the top of the front and rear doors.
I removed it with no problems, but the double sided foam that was used to attach it to the car is still left, and is solid!!!>
I have just spent 4 hours trying to remove it using my finger nails which are now very sore. I also used warm soapy water, t-cut and polish all of which hasn't really budged the glue residue that is left. This glue seems to be solid to remove.
Does any body have any suggestions on what I can use to remove it , without obviously damaging the paint work.
Any secret formulas that people have!!!.
Anything!!!!.
Cheers,
Muddy.

why on earth are we up at this hour discussing `GLUE`
anyway...try lighter fluid or parafin. The later washes off with water and the first should be polished off straight away.
good luck

I have some stuff at home that was supplied by a company called DML who used to service ancient multi platter DEC disc drives.
It gets labels off anthing and does not damage the underlying surface. I use it all the time, the last time to remove the residue from old stuck on weights on my allows.
Watch this space..

Cheers for your replies,
On sunday I tried parafin/lighter fluid, no luck there.
I used a hair dryer to get the initial foam off, didn't do any thing for the concrete like glue that was left, I thought it would have done something!!! - cheers Etheridge-bird anyway
Colin Berry- I look forward to your miracle glue remover.
BrewandBake - will nail polish be to harsh for paint work, I thought that stuff was like paint stripper.
Anyway seeing that Trax is nearly upon us, I have popped the deflector back on so the car doesn't look stupid.
Will try again later though!!!.
