Question

Does anyone know how to remove the dash??
I haven't looked at it yet but I would like to know how it's done to save me some time...

Also why has scoobynet got no search service now!!!!! I am sure this has been posted before but I can't search for it.

Cool

David

Can't help with the dashboard, but the search has been removed because it was eating up too much memory and processor time. A CD should be available soon with all the old technical info.

Question

David,

What year of car/model/etc is it?

Which part of the dash, the centre or the bit around the steering wheel??

I had to do this to fit the cage to the RA.

Its just a case of unbolting/unscrewing fixings everywhere and unplugging most of the loom.

Why do you need to remove it?

Tip... draw a diagram of the loom and label each half of the connectors, marking the label designations on your diagram.

Hi David,

If it's a 98 model on, remove the demister part of the dashboard by the front windscreen, this simply pulls off, underneath this are the major bolts that hold the dash in place, you also need to undo all the little grommets, 2 on each side from memory, remove the glovebox...just unscrews etc it doesn't take long, just drop down the lower casings on passenger and drivers side. gives you an idea of where some of the fixings are anyway...it won't be difficult once you get stuck in!!
