Unhappy

The other day i was being followed by a nice little r5 gt turbo, he was showing off to his bird... to cut a long story short i dropped it a gear into 3rd to give it some when i got a violent jerk i noticed at the time of the jerk the rev needle went straight down to the floor, as if the engine had locked up ??!? it released straight afterwards and the did it again, since this has happened my car is running like a bag of knac#ers there is no power whatsoever. i thought it may be a plug gone down so i replaced them with a brand new set of double platinum ones (what a ball ache it is too) after this i let the car warm up for 5 mins b4 taking it out 4 a spin, nothing had changed i notice that on tik over the car seems to shake a little, not tooo much that any can tell but enough so that i can ?!?!?

has any1 ever had this problem b4, and could the please help me ?

a friend said it could be the boost running too high and the safety valve cutting in, but would this stay like it is ??

please e-mail me asap
am in need of urgent assistance
will be on icq 2nite (24th) @ 9pm - 10pm
please come and have a chat with me if ya can help

my number is 36401417

thanxs in avd

You may have forced it into limp home mode, do an ecu reset ... disconnect the battery for 20 mins, reconnect, drive 25-30 miles of mixed driving ... let us know.

Only real way to check coil packs is by substitution ... take out the plugs again and check them for correct colour etc, if one is misfiring then it will look sooty. No 4 will be darker in any case. What plugs did you fit ? (make and part number please)

Does it rev above 3k rpm, or does it boost over .5 bar? If not, it sounds like an iffy MAF-sensor...did they use those on the 93's? (ignorant Johnny foreigner here...)

Question

i noticed when i took out the old 1's that they were ngk plugs, and it was running fine since the day i bought it, had it 4mths now, i am certain now its a faulty coil pack, waiting for a friend to bring me a couple down so i can check it out.

if the solenoid is bunged up will it drag the performance down so much constantly till i sort it ??? a friend called bash who has 1 said it is missing also ?!? may b that coil pack
