Would your car need to be re-mapped in order to benefit from having the standard exhaust system changed to full decat i.e. to gain more power? car is a MY00 Turbo 2000 Full decat with standard ecu. I recently bought the car with the full decat already fitted just wondering whether the above was true or not

it doesn't need to be re-mapped but if you did it would release some more horses.

Its more like if you are after a remap the Decat will enable you to obtain more BHP. Also there may be flat spots caused by decatting which can be ironed out with a custom map.
So in a nutshell its not needed but you will benefit from one.
