Question

Can anyone confirm or deny this for me.
Turbos have a maximum boost that they can produce before they just start blowing hot air?
CO2 intercooler sprays can reduce temps by 30 deg?

If both of these are true could I use the Co2 spray and then raise the boost?
I was thinking of using a boost controller with two settings; maximum and then extra boost. This second setting could be activated by a switch at WOT which at the same time could activate the Co2 system.

What are your thoughts?

turbos have an area where they work 'well' outside this the become inefficent.. (sp) and blow hot air..

ie 20psi may be ok..22psi may be hot air and loose you power.. make det more likely..

You dont want to cool the charge temp to reduce turbo temp when its being inefficent..

what you should do is tune without c02.. then add after becuase every 1deg c drop gives an increase of x bhp.

I've got it and it only lasts about 20 seconds, ok for rolling road and drag days but not much cop for anything else!

It really won't make a difference, It will drop inlet temps by about 10degrees and you will only feel a difference on a hot day but even then it won't be great, maybe 10bhp. I see a 10bhp difference at the wheels on the rollers by using it but all it did was bring rolling road inlet temps down to what i would normally see on the road anyway!

Like i said' its only good for rolling road days and 1/4 mile runs, thats where it will make a slight difference!
