Whats max boost ???

I have a my98 wrx sti v4 full decat baily dump blitz cone
just got a boost gauge fitted
the boost will peak at about 18 psi does anyone know how much more boost it will run before the ecu will limit it ??
the ecu is standard as far as i know

I would say 18psi is a tad too high, assuming you want to play it safe of course.

Could be wrong of course...... i understand that a standard Uk turbo (early model) should run at 9 psi.

what do you call an 'early' model - the uk 98 runs at .9 BAR, not 9 psi..... (as standard), but fuel cut is well below 18psi, more like 16-17. (1.1-1.2 bar)

I believe 1.25 bar is the safe limit before you have to start thinking about making some heavy upgrade mods.
