Unhappy

Collected my new, last of the line, DBM MY00 last week from dealer in Bristol.

Absolutely great (see post under General Interest) but I do have one minor irritation. I have several (20 to 30) black/brown spots on the boot/rear spoiler that 'Mer' will not shift. Dealer thinks it is down to over enthusiastic application of underseal at Quedgley which he thinks he can remove at the first service. Any thoughts? I would like to attend to it myself but not sure how.

Have a chat with Mark Underwood, the man is the Wizard of Wax!!!

He will have a product that will remove it with no problem!!! I think he will recommend the clay bar, but best check with him or one of his colleagues!!!

SKYMAN,

Andy is right, Mark will recommend the clay bar.

I had the same problem as you except mine was worse with tar spots all over the bottom half of the car and the rest of the paint work felt like sandpaper.

2 Hours with a clay bar, a coat of Mark's Merlin wax. And the paint work is now better than when I took the car out of the showroom. Its like glass

Well worth it.

The problem is very easily and quickly resolved with minimum expenditure and around 15 minutes of your time.

The product you require is a clay bar kit plus some form of paint protection. Expenditure should be no more than £30 inc postage and includes SIDC/Scoobynet discount.

Give me a buzz on 01752 700754 and I'll shiip overnite for you.

Regards
Mark

Hi Bob
A Clay bar is a surface preparation bar that smoothes the paint and removes contaminates such as tar, brake dust, grime,etc..
It is very simple to use & its absolutely
amazing the amount of dirt it removes from your car that ordinary washing cannot..
I cannot recommend this product more highly
It is definatly one of the best car care products Ihave ever come across
Buy one now!!

Spoke to Mark last Friday (very helpful guy), and am now awaiting delivery (hopefully tomorrow) of clay bar set plus additional paint protection.

I will let you know how I get on.

The clay bar is the bar of the gods them selves.
a couple of hours spent with it, and you're never stop just running your hand along the paint work every time you go near your motor.
