Hi Andy,

Problem is, with a bit of clutch slip, you can drive the car away in 3rd.

I'd love to see someone drive it away in reverse

(I also have deadlock fitted)

Just so you know, I have a barrier dealock fitted in my car.

I had a GGR quickshift fitted to my car yesterday, and the Barrier deadlock no longer locks in reverse!!!

As a saving grace, it will lock in 3rd and with a squeeze 1st and 5th.

Having a ponder about it, I think locking in 3rd or 5th is better than reverse!!

Oh well, I guess we all find out these things the hard way!!!

I normally park into my garage, so it's happened once when I've backed out, and wondered why I could change into first!!! (Well it was early!!!) Doh!!!

Looks like I should get into the habit of parking nose first into spaces, rather than backing in now!!! Oh well!!!

And Rob, yes I will give it a go tonight!!!

Question

Andy,
Is this the same deadlock that is advertised inthe SIDC magazine ? If so did you get it fitted in Liverpool or can you do it yourself & how much was it ?
Oh one more, would you recommend one ?

555, yes, it's the same thing as advertised. They have been building up a network of dealers to supply and fit so there should be someone near you. Call them on 0151-489 4889.

555, about £220 all in as I recall. Expensive, but SO quick and easy to use and I've not heard of one being defeated yet. Always comes top for security in all the mag tests.

PS Unusual line of business you're in. Can you open a car through the exhaust pipe?
