Wink

Does anyone know if the turbocharger fitted to a P1 is one of the Roller Bearing IHI Units??

Is it the same unit as fitted to a 22B?

I assume the roller bearing units are tougher.

Thanks
Kurt

Kurt,

The P1 should have an IHI VF28 fitted. This is a roller bearing turbo, but is smaller than the VF23 fitted to the 22B.

If looked after, the VF series turbo's will last, but they aren't as strong as the Mitsibushi TD sleeve baring turbo's. The VF will spin up more quickly though.

Mark.
