Question

I've had my 95 wrx for a couple of weeks now and have started to tidy it up, the rear screen has had a tinted film applied quite well, but in 6 pieces makes it look a bit tacky, so I'm going to have it done again, I have two options
1, have the film reapplied by a professional company, but will the removal of the old film damage the window heater elements?
2, find a damaged import STI 4 or so, that came with the darkened rear glass and change windows? does any one no if there tint's or darkened glass? any one changed a rear windscreen?

I had mirror tinted film on the rear screen of my 96 wrx when i bought it. I managed to remove it ok without damaging the heater elements. The only problem was that it left loads of glue on the screen, which was a real pain in the ar$e to remove (especially at the bottom of the screen - because of the shape of the rear shelf)

Kunz,

Just for info. a friend had a new rear window fitted on his STI iv and the cost was £1200 so you may want to reconsider option 2.

I have mirrored rear & side windows and have decided to stay with the Drug dealer/Pimp Look until the end of the summer. Unfortunately my back window was not finished off and only covers 2/3 of the rear screen. The are few garages that remove it for you at a cost around £30.
If you can't be bothered to do it yourself.
