Faulty speedo?

I've just bought a 98 S reg STI iv 5 door, which was imported from new. But I have noticed that the speedo seems to be reading about 10 - 15 mph to high!! Could this be something to do with the change from kph to mph. And how is it rectified?

shes got standard 16'' alloys, but changing to 17'' very soon
