Strange as it may seem! (famous last words on here!), my car has developed what can only be described as a rhythmic knocking noise at low speed from the front O/s (drivers) wheel.
I only noticed it when I got back in the car after it had been off the road while the wheels were refurbed.
I wondered if it was the wheels, but they are balanced at high speed.
Then I thought it might be my AP pads, which were low, so I have replaced them. Guess what it is still there!
The noise itself is very rhythmic, as if it is once a cycle of the wheel and disappears at speed due to the fact that you just can’t hear it and the wheels are probably moving too fast
One thing it does do, is disappear when you apply the brake.
So, could it be:
Bushes
Bearing
Driveshaft
Diff
Disk (which looks ok)
I have tugged and prodded all of the movables under the wheel are and nothing seems to be moving.
Has anyone ever had the same problem and resolved it?
