my02 STi servicing.
#1
A bloke at my work is about to do a service on a '02STi UK car, he's needing a couple of bits of info.
1/ Spark plugs gapping, I believe they are recommended @ 0.7mm is this right.
2/ The car has a slight miss from 2.5K to 5.5K when in top gear I believe this could be down to knackered plugs or is it something else.
3/ What is the torque settings for the sump plug etc.
Thanks

Firstly, if this "bloke" is worth his salt, he will not be "regapping" these plugs OR attempting to clean them. If the gaps have opened up, change them,or you risk further misfires when refitted. They are platinum tipped plugs and cannot be cleaned and not reccommended to adjust. But plugs normally last till 30k or 3rd yr service, be careful, your "freindly mate" may cost you more money if he is unsure of proper servicing information.

Scoobyslut, don't worry he is not re-gapping the plugs, just wants to check them when he changes them. It's not my motor he's doing some neighbours of his. Mine goes back to the dealer coz I'm scared of losing the big 'W'
