if you look under the bonnet you will see your inlet manifold right in front of your intercooler on the right hand side of inlet manifold you should have a small pipe coming out vertically you need to cut the rubber pipe attatched to it and put a t piece in there then run your pipe for the boost gauge from the t piece into the car

On a 95 car....
If you look at the inlet manifold in the middle you will see three vacumn pipes connected to it, one 6mm and two 4mm..
T into the middle vacumn pipe.
So you know you are looking at the right pipes, the far left one goes to the dump valve.

Im prob not the best to awnswer but here goes,
I dont know what the standard boost levels are, but I would think around the 12 psi/.8 bar. If you have had or the car was remapped at any point then its gonna depend on how far they went with the remap.
Before I put in a boost control I was boosting to 17psi or 1.17 bar before the fuel cut kicked in, with a boost control it will still only boost to 17 psi before the fuel cut comes in. The Aftermarket boost controllers only give you the ablity to adjust the boost level upto what fuel cut is on the ecu, The only way I know of to overcome the fuel cut is to buy a fuel cut defender or remap the ecu.
Heres a chart for the conversions as some peps will quote bar, some Psi and some Kg/cm
Psi bar Kg/cm
10 0.69 0.70
11 0.76 0.77
12 0.83 0.85
13 0.90 0.92
14 0.97 0.99
15 1.03 1.06
16 1.10 1.13
17 1.17 1.20
18 1.24 1.27
19 1.31 1.34
20 1.38 1.41
