Ive got the sender unit and need to put it in the hole under the alternator. As you all know it doesn't fit as the sender is too big Ive been looking on a website for braided hose and connectors and need advise on size of the hose and what connectors I need, can someone advice me the only thing it says on the sender unit packaging is 100 psi - 1/8-27 nptf god knows what that means but I need to order some things asap.

Cheers and an happy new year

The hole in the engine block has a 1/8" BSP thread on it. The sender has a 1/8" NPT thread. You need about a foot of braded hose with an 1/8" tapered NPT fitting on one end, and a 1/8" BSP tapered thread on the other. You'll also need a male to male BSP joiner piece to connect the hose female connector to the engine.
I then made a bracket to hold the sender that attaches to the coolant header tank.

I got the parts from LeMans Autoparts

Hope this helps
