Water temp guage

Hi guys and girls
What sort of reading do your scoobs read when up to full running tem as I think my thermostat one is on its way out, my car even when fully warmed up seems to read just under half on the guage.
Most of my other cars have read around two thirds, also the heater gets quite warm but not really really hot if you get what I mean. I will change it myself but just wanted to know what the norm is.
