Those black connectors
#1
Has anyone got pics of the connectors under the dash that
you use to reset the ECU.
Should they not be connected when not used?
sorry to be dumb but Can't seem to find mine and don't
want to connect wrong ones.
Cheers

What model year of car do you have? MY01 and newer don't have the black ones, and so the only way of resetting the ECU is with a Select Monitor, DeltaDash or so-on.
As for the older cars, no, they shouldn't be connected under "normal" use. If you look under the dash you should find a pair of green connectors (with two wires in each) and a pair of black connectors (with one wire in each). They'll either be floating free from the chunky bit of loom near the steering column, or may possibly be taped either to the loom or the column itself.
Get under there with a torch and you shouldn't have too much trouble finding them. Here for full ECU reset details if you don't already have them.
