Rev counter rattle??????
#1
Guys n Gals
I have grinding/rattling noise that seems to kick in at about 3000rpm in any gear. Had a mechanic look at it who seemed to think it was the gears in the rev counter???
It started out being worse going round a left hand bend but now there all the time. Thought that I could feel it vibrating through the steering wheel though not sure if it was just me imagining it!!!
Any Ideas
Thanks

There 'aint no gears in the rev counter it's all electronic, just a meter really.
I'd have a look at your driveshafts, the outer boots are split and loose all their grease they might rattle/grind
