I have stored in the ecu code 23 and 24, maf and iacs. The engine cheak light is not on at the moment, and i have not noticed it on. If the sensors were still failing would the engine cheak light not be on all the time?

It's possible that the errors are stored from the previous owner. You could do an ECU reset, and see if you get the all-clear...

Darren does your scooby have any problems running, or did u just check ecu, and found codes. problem i have sometimes with crank sensor is that when the car is warmed up, if u switch it off it wont start up again until it has cooled down, or in my case i just poured water over sensor and this gives short cut. have u reset ecu, and do the codes go away, but come back on at later date.

the codes came up when I was messing yesterday I cleaned the TPS sensors(stupid idea) but there you go when I checked the ecu codes they came up! so I left the battery unhooked for about an hour and the codes cleared, the car as run fine through out but this is the first time the CEL as come up? ive spoke to Howard who adv to do the reset with the green connectors instead of the battery way and David Wallis and as said to leave battery off over night so im going to do both ways to see if it clears it up and if not im going to buy some new sensors from Howard..Cheap enough.

Done ecu reset, went for a drive, stopped at several set of lights, revs up and down, no new codes. MAF?
MAF is a 80mm, 3 wire, my98, can i get a probe, or do i need whole lot?
