Hi guys:

I'd like to begin to tune my car for my self, so I have decided go for a Link ECU for my MY98 Impreza. But, I'll need some tools in order to get the best of this ECU, so I'll go for a Knock link and a Wide Band Oxygen sensor.

I have doing some research and I don't know what WBO2 could I use. I guess something which allow to log data and show me graphs like RPM v/s AF or MAP v/s AF.

Does anyone have a recomendation?

Here are my two choices

Thanks in advance

hi guys, turboxs have a wideband that has full data logging as well as detects knock and has both visual and audio for knock, it also excepts five digital inputs like rpm, tps, map etc, check it out www.turboxs.com i have one contected to my UTEC engine management so i can monitor 24/7 and its is easy to use and acurate.

Hi:

I have checked the turboxs page, but I haven't found the tool... Did you buy directly from Turboxs or another dealer? and Are you using the another features as the RPM pickup or MAP?

Regards

As I'm feeling generous, and despite the incorrect terminology, I'll create some hyperlinks....

Do you have any first hand experience of the Innovate Motorsports one Pat? That looks like a nice piece of kit for $350, any idea how much they are from Wallace/Apex?

Question

the plx one looks interesting and non intrusive too..

but again- I'm not best placed to decipher the spec.. anyone care to explain the pros and cons of the above systems?
are there any better alternatives?

Quite a few people on here who tune their own cars use the TechEdge WBO2 from Australia.

A version 2 kit costs about £100 shipped and duty paid, it uses the Bosch LSU4 sensor which can be had for about £45 from a couple of different sources in the US.
