Why is this and should I worry about it?

Hi ya,
The car's totally cold. I start the car, accelerate away in 1st gear break 4,500 rpm and it feels like the rev limiter has kicked in, but I'm assuming that it's the ECU killing boost given the RPM it's at. Go up to 2nd gear and from then on everything is fine.
This has happened 2 days in a row now.
I have no reason to think that there is anything wrong with the car at all, it is 100% ok in every other way.
It's an MY00, the engine is totally standard other than a full decat, and unfortunately I have no supplimentary guages fitted at all.
Anyone know the cause of this, and is there anything to worry about?
Cheers

Yeah I know , wouldn't do it in the morning, just twice I've done it during work time when I've 'nipped' out.
But still shouldn't kill the boost though should it?
If it is just the engine saying, "Oi Mister" then cool, but I just wanna be sure it aint something on it's way out.

No, not for about 3 months. But there there is a light coating of oil round the inside of the IC (another sign of this?), so I've been thinking recently bout cleaning the boost solenoid cos I read stuff on here bout them getting oiled up.
