Default Rear wiper coming on by itself??

Anyone had this problem.

I own a 94WRX hatch. The rear wiper goes on by itself , I have to turn the wiper on and off again to stop it.

I think it may be the wiper stalk on the steering column..

Appreciate any comments

Mark.

Lightbulb rear wash wipe

Hi m8. one suggestion is to check the wires in top right corner of hatch, pull back thick black outer cover and see if their is any wires broken or shorting between body and hatch..wires tend to break because of open & closeing action or shortout...
