Hi
I'm lost without the search facility so hope some kind soul can help.
Before the ScoobyNet upgrade I found a thread that listed which hand commander went with which Power FC ECU. I now have a GC8D ECU with X001 Commander that refuse to speak :-((
If someone has access to that thread or info and can let me have it, I'd be very gratefull.
Thanks
Gerry

Thanks for the info Cord.
So my ecu, GC8D and controller, X001 are right for one another?
The engine starts & runs fine with them fitted but all I get on the commander screen is the word 'APEXi' and their logo. No amount of button pushing changes the display.
Any suggestions please?
Gerry

I recall Alan Smith having this problem, he was also supplied with the wrong unit initially. It turned out there was a 3rd different type of commander for his 97 car. I'll try and get the info directly from him for you.

My experience of using the wrong commander is that it won't do anything at all. Not power up, then fail to go any further. But there is a third commander (not X001 or N001) but sorry, can't remember of the top of my head. My best mate !!!! Alan has one.

Hi Gerry
Alan is working away from home at the moment but he thinks the number ended in 005 ?
I will find out for sure tomorrow as I'm working on his car![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Hi Houghton,
Looks like you need to contact the supplier of the Power FC and commander.
(Who was it?)
The code numbers for the 96-00 cars are 415-X001 but you need to specify the model of the Power FC it will be working, 96-98 & 98-00 both have 415-X001 as their part numbers, but they are different. Whoever supplied the commander with the FC has given you the wrong commander.
It looks like you have a 96-98 ECU with a commander that works the 98-00 ECU
Try mailing Jason Lee here "enquiries@greenline.jp"
This is the guy who sorted out all problems when I had the same issue.
If you still have issues let me kno and I will try to help you out.

Hi Alan,
Can't blame the supplier, he's been excellent. I already have the ecu (bought it from someone on here last year). The supplier got the commander based on the i.d. on the ecu, i.e. GC8D so supplied X001 as his catalogue stated. He gave me a full refund next day, so can't fault him.
Interesting that two different items share the same part no. How can they be identified? Nice to think the ecu isn't at fault![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
