Question Q for the guru's ??

my mates got a later inlet manifold than me that he doesnt want (98 i think)
its got the coil packs on the top , will it fit my95 and is it better??
(mine are knackered i tink) cheers scooby nuttas.

oh and is a vf-28 better than my td05 and whats the pros and cons of it ?

well it will work - with a bit of modification !

basicly coil packs are 1 per cylinder, where are the 97-> is a wasted spark system, so there are only 2 !

so you'd need to do a bit of wiring to make the 4 outputs into 2. possibly using the ignitor from the later car as well ...

u'd then need the ignition leads too!

A wasted spark system uses 1 coil for 2 cylinders-when it fires a spark to ignite the fuel mix on one cyl,it also fires on the other cylinder at the point where it has nothing to ignite-ie wasted.
Basically it cuts costs-half the emount of coils req.d compared to your coilpack system which has a coil per cylinder and fired individually.
