On a MY98 ECU, Its block 136 pin no 5.
Presume the STi ECU is the same as a UK?
Pin 5 on mine is a black wire with silver stipes on it. Doesn't look like the right one to me, looks like an earth sort of wire (same as the ECU main earth)
Can anyone confirm this is the right one? Im used to wiring MY99's![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

MB - I needed to return the earth on mine back to the ECU as well - I originally took it to the battery post, but I could get the LEDS to flick from blue to green at WOT by using the rear screen heater switch !
Tried the earth post next to the ECU and it was almost as bad, so took both feeds from ECU wires directly.....
Let me know if you don't get it sorted and I'll take mine apart for a looksee - but it'll be tomorrow when I get chance....

Cheers Will, aware of the delay
Can catch people out!
Hi Mark, I normally use the ECU live and earth, as that is what the sensor is actually seeing.
Ill see how I get on, ta for the offer.
Ravensblade reckons it should be a white wire for the 02 signal...

Um - is this a Lambdalink? If so, it has two 'ground' wires - one an earth for the power line, and one an eart for the signal line. The ECU has two inputs from OE lambda sensor; signal and signal ground. Use them (but not for the power!) ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I guess if it's not a Lambdalink then it's possible they only use one earth? If so, battery would be the best point to locate it.

Richard,
Its an Autometer. 12v live, earth and signal.
Just about to hook it up.
From that diagram im using 13 as the earth, but not sure on the 12v live.
No 10 must be the one, switched ignition.

Ok,
Tried different Earth / Live combinations, with the same signal wire (no5 black / green) and still no joy.
The AFR flickers when the engine fires then goes completely blank. Took the car out for 10 mins and nothing.
If I have the right signal wire, then my 02 sensor is completely shot. Just need to confirm I have the right signal wire...
