Default AE800, 801, 802 vs Ecutek

Is there an advantage to replace a AE802 with another ECU (801 or 800) when I go for an ECUTEK remap or will the remap smooth out all the disadvantages of the AE802 Ecu then ?

No advantage in getting an 800 or 801, no. As you suspect, when you get the TeK, the "problems" with the 802 are overwritten.
