Angry My CHECK ENGINE light wont STAY off!

cut along story short as ive already posted a longer story in scooby general,

cleaned my engine with that CD2 from halfords did all what i was told to on the can and now my feckin CHECK ENGINE light keeps comin on(my 94 wrx)
it was fine the first few miles after i did it but when i parked her up for a couple of hours and went back out later the light came on for a minute then went off, took it down the road another mile or so and there it is again only this time it stays on,turn my engine off and back on again and the light goes off again!sure enough mile down the road its on again!so i took her back home and left her(last time i looked the light was off)but i dare'nt go out and start her tonight in case that dreaded light comes back on!

is it just damp still from the rinsin from the water or have i fookedit in some way?

cheers Simo!

Question

Hello mate i know how u feel, my engine light has been coming on for a while, and it never came up with any codes but i took it to a guy with the right gear and knowledge and he came up with a few codes, 1 was knock sensor and the other was tps but that seemed to be fine when we tested it, i think mine might be the knock sensor but its £130 so want to be sure there was another code but had no lierature on it.
dunno if this helps but i would be interested in any replies aswell.

Have you checked for any loose cables/ connectors that you may have disturbed when cleaning your engine? Have a quick check around.

i'd say u've either disturbed something, or gotten water in a connector.

check the codes and see what it is .

you could just leave it idling for ages to try and dry everything out.
