Default Heater Matrix leak!

How big a job is it to change the heater matrix on a `96 Impreza?

Generally speaking, a big job.
The dash has to come out.
Rare for one of these to go,you sure its coolant coming in and not rain water or washer fluid?

These are not rare.... i know of a hell of a lot of people that have had this done. Personally having changed myself i can see why they leak so often. They do look very week. Took me about 5 hours start to finish (including 2 hours after it had gone dark). It's not a hard job, just time consuming.

Tony.

Yes defo its coolant leeking as its bailing out steam from the vents and putting a layer of coolant on the windows which is a pain to get off!

Any info on how to start the job?

Thanks

Steve
