Default Legacy Mis-fire/Splutter

Hope someone can HELP!

I own a 1994/95 UK model Legacy 2.0 Turbo 4wd.

The car has some kind of mis-fire or splutter when accelerating. The problem occurs at around 2000rpm-2500rpm and makes the whole car judder.

It feels similar to releasing the clutch at low revs(you know when it stalls).

There is another problem with the car but not sure if this is related. When accelerating at full boost the car sometimes misses/splutters, if the boost is brought in gradually the problem does not occur.

I am very concerned about the judder at 2000rpm because it is shakin the car to bits, please Help.

Maybe the MAF sensor or even a fouled plug ?

Lightbulb

I have also noticed that the problem only occurs once the engine is warmed up.

From cold the car is smooth, could this be something to do with the choke?(does my car have a choke or similar device?)

May-be this rules out prop-shaft

check for air leaks/splits in the pipes around the dump valve
when cold and on boost it can overfuel which would compensate for the extra air
but not when its warm had this on mine
also check out the spark plugs if youve a spare 2 hours(one may show a different colour to the others which may pinpoint your problem to one cylinder rather than all 4)
