Differance between Lamdba and Maf failure

As the title, i am not sure what my problem is. i was driving along put my foot down a little and lost power, very irratic engine, stopped called AA he unplugged the maf sensor and it seemed to run better. i had a very slow drive home a 5 mins at about 20 mph. which is it lamda or maf

Are you certain he unplugged the MAF? I know you say in the other thread that's what he told you, but have you looked under the bonnet to check that he definitely has disconnected the MAF, and not the lambda...?

Mine is awaiting a oxygen sensor, when in garage I told them it had irratic tick over and lumpy driving. I asked if it was a faulty maff -- answer as above. If it was not in the garage at the time and I listened to what was said on here I would have said it was the maff. I'm no mechanic so if a Oxygen sensor is either of above I appoligse
