Smile latest model wrx brake life expectancy

Hi, I have recently bought a WRX (latest mark), and was wondering how many miles I can do before the brake pads would need changing (presuming I have not abused the brakes excessively), and how many miles before the disk need changing.
Thanks

That's an impossible question to answer, given that one person's idea of "not abuse" is another's "ragging".

Assuming you drive like a pensioner (in which case, why did you buy an Impreza?), you could get 20,000 miles plus out of a set of OE pads, and 60K+ out of a set of OE discs. However, at the other end of the scale, you could do the pads in 2000 miles, and the discs in 3000.

If you genuinely do drive like a pensioner, it might be worth asking pslewis how long he gets to a set...

I should get 23k out of my pads (03 WRX), and 21k out of the original RE050 tyres. I don't drive like a pensioner either
