ie will a turbo heat shield from a MY94 wrx fit an MY99 Sti5

Chris, No they aren't, No they won't. The 94 is a peculiar thing with a chimney on it and the later ones are more of a cover. On later UK ones they have a recess for the wastegate shaft in a different place to the STi type. You'll need the right one for the car. AND YES it is imprtant to have one on !!
