Default defi boost gauge my03 sti

got my boost gauge in and was wondering if it was reading right. if i floor it in 3rd at about 40mph the gauge peaks at about 1.7 bar

for a second then drops to about 1.0 bar and holds there till i change gear is that abouit right or is it not reading correct. the only mod i have is a turbo back, prodrive system at the mo
thx
Andy

1.7 bar seems high! My My03 StiPPP runs around 1.35 bar when its happy.... its spike ever so often to about 1.5 but 1.7 would scare me!

Not sure exactly what it should run... but I think 1.3 odd bar tailing off to 1.1 or something like that

I know mine spikes coz of my de cat....

I knwoo when they PPP a car they change the restrictor in the pipe that feeds the waste gate actuator... maybe this could be a problem?

Thumbs up

thx all
hmmm wonder where the 1.7 's coming from then.it seems as though its holding back a bit after the initial peak as though it could do with more juice or something or do they all do this. my classic seemed to just pull non stop till ya red lined. could it be to do with the full ppp exhaust and it not being set up for it.i havent put the fuel pump or ecu on yet thought id run it for a bit 1st.
thx

I'd have to agree 1.7 is a tad high.

1.5 bar peak to 1.25 bar held is about right.

Nathan..

just had the ppp ecu put on today and it seems to have sorted it out it now peaks at 1.45 and holds about 1.1 to gear change does that sound about right. it seems to have took the kick out oif it that it had before and now she just pulls a lot smoother
