its a crappy drawing ive done like one of the lights on the dash that comes on before you start the engine, and just wondered what it was

That is the 'cat on fire' light. Basically it looks like a lambda sensor in the exhaust system straight after the downpipe cat and it tells you if the exhaust gases are too hot (ie the cat is too hot).
