Default Door/Window closing problem on MY00 Classic

Occasionally (although it seems to be getting more regular!) when I close either the front drivers side or passenger side door the window gets caught on the little plastic bit at the top of the door frame (sorry I cant be more technical!). What is this plastic thing for & does anyone else have a similar problem?

Any help much appreciated as it's getting very annoying!

Cheers
Dean

Yeah, passenger side is notorious on MY99/00 cars. They adjusted the door on mine and it cured it. Trouble is the door looks like it's been hung incorrectly or been in a small prang. I used to window down the window as passengers were about to shut the door.

Dean,
Well described, I know exactly what you mean.

Just had the exact same problem with my MY01. The problem stemmed from a couple of the bolts holding the window winder mechanism in place had worked loose, allowing the whole mechanism to twist.
Whip the door card off and just make sure that there is no play on the window mechanism.

Good luck

Martin
