I have a MY01 WRX with a turbo back decat. I think the downpipe and centre are from a classic. If I get a new Sti, warranty issues aside, will the system fit. Is it advisable to have a decat on an Sti and if so, will it need a remap.

I also have eibachs springs. Will they fit an Sti? Are they better than whatever springs are fitted as standard?

Would be gratefull for any advice.

 

I can tell you that is isnt advisable to have a decat on the new age STi unless you do remap, you may be better off going for a free flowing sports cat, it will give you the same gains as a decat and not have to bother messing around come mot time (possable remap needed though)
