Question Immobilising a classic

Mine will be left in the UK for two weeks, and I'd like to immobilise it while I'm gone.

Any thoughts.............with instructions if poss please??

Remove the engine, gearbox and rear diff?

Alternatively, you could put supermarket fuel in it, crank the boost up and sit on the limiter until it immobilises itself!



Seriously though, have you though about removing the HT leads or disconnecting the crank sensor?
If it won't start they can't take it.............unless they have a transporter.

When you say you want to immobilise it Alcazar, are you talking from a "good for the car", or from a security standpoint?

If the former, disconnecting the battery would be advisable, but if the latter, it obviously wouldn't be, especially from an insurance point of view.

take all the ht leads and coil packs! oh by the way dont tell anyone what you did! its not advisable to advertise your going on holiday and then advertise what your going to do to immoblise the car! have a nice hol btw! i justr come pack from japan and ive got some sti goodies for sale!

take the ecu out!!!!!!!!

dead easy job , and you can be pretty sure it wont start with it gone, lol
