Easy - did it on my MY00. Like you say, slam the heater round to hot, and remove filler cap and cap from little plastic tank thing on front of the engine bay (in front of battery). Then there's a drain tap on the bottom left of the radiator (as you look from the front of the car). You can access it better by unbolting the undertray from the engine. Attach a bit of pipe to the tap (well you don't have to but it makes it marginally easier to aim the draining coolant) and open the tap. When it's all drained, I refilled mine with plain water and drained it a couple more times, then just slowly refill with your antifreeze / water mix. I used the pink stuff from Halfrauds. Can't remember the exact capacity, but I think it was 8 - 9 litres.

Hope this helps.

Easily as you say....fill very SLOWLY is the key here. Almost to point of tedium.

You may want to give the bottom radiator hose a sqeeze every now and again to help get the air out. And check the level after taking it out for a drive (after it's cooled back down), just in case its pushed some more air out the system.
