Default Everyone's Opinion Welcome!!

Getting car back within the next week hopefully...

New engine pretty much, which will require running in!!

I assume that this is around 1000 miles of under 3.5k driving??

I have the opportunity to go on a long drive... lol... However-

I have heard that doing the 1000 miles in one go isnt a good idea, I.E - Motorway driving, because the engine isnt bedding in properly??

Even though it would take longer, would mixed B-Road, quicker A-Road and town driving be best for it??

Cheers,
Grant

nearly finished this grant so i'll tell you what i've done.

first 600 miles, use running in oil(comma). in the 600 miles, take the engine to a max rev of 3.5k for 300 miles then up to 4k.

after 600 miles use semi synthetic oil(shell heli plus 10:40), taking the engine to 4.5k

then once the mileage has gone to 1300 change the oil again for the best fully synthetic(i used millers oil) and take revs up to 5k.

whenever the oil is to be changed, the oil filter should be changed too.
