More Omph!
How do i go about getting a more agressive acceleration response out of my car just like an RB5 i was follwing Saturday, don't get me wrong its good but i want that little bit more. I want that pushed back in the seat feeling is this down to the torque or bhp or both.
I have a 95/96 wrx sti wagon standard apart from a full de-cat turbo back exhuast system. At my last rolling road check it was putting out between 280 and 300 bhp but the torque figure seemed a bit low only 221 lbf-ft, only running 0.8bar.
Any helpful tuning tips in this would be very much appreciated as i am still new to the scooby world
Thanks in advance Andre

lightened fly wheels give better rev response and acceleration
if you get one you might as well upgrade your clutch, whilst they have dropped your engine whip out the standard turbo and put in a TD05/06 FE add a motec ECU with antilag.
that will sort out any issues you have and make you very skint as well

The quickest/cheapest/easiest way to increase your torque is to increase your boost pressure. Get yourself a manual boost controller such as GBE or Dawes.
However, to do it properly, and potentially save yourself £000s on an engine rebuild, you need to spend a bit more on monitoring equipment. A boost gauge and Knocklink are essential. An AFR gauge is nice, but not as important.
