Default Gruppe-s Headers

How many people are running modified headers and what made them move over from oem headers. Im running a VF28 turbo around 1.2 bar, im a going to get any real gains for this outlay of cash.

Cool

Im using OBX headers from the states.
I also have one or two other mods to help make the headers worthwhile.

Moved over from OE as had done a bit of mailing/reading.
Had originally bought some gruppeS headers via the groupbuy last year, BUT after reading of people's experiences fitting them and the nightmares with the leaking uppipes from that batch I sold them and went for the OBX as I knew of one guy who had excellent results with them.
(P20SPD from here- he is now using GruppeS, and was having very positive results with them- he then threw a rod too much torque perchance for the UK block? hm.

gruppeS are very well regarded also, and would give better torque lower down in the rev range than my choice of OBX.

go for it mate, just plan ahead to get the best out of them

I saw big gains when fitting Gruppe-s headers & up-pipe using a TD05 turbo, once i got around the up-pipe blowing, Reved far more freely at the top end (all the way to the limiter) just kept pulling

I changed other stuff at the same time (inc. VF35 turbo), but I was pleasantly surprised at how free-revving they made the car. No major problems with fitting (although I didn't do it personally!), and a tightening of the bolts solved all gassing/blowing problems.
