A solution to air conditioning lurches?
I have noticed that when the air conditioning is on the car will intermitantly lose a bit of power, on inspection or bonnet it appears that a fan kicks in and out intermitantly?
Anyway would it not be simple for the manufacturers to programme it so that when the fan kicks in a little more juice is pumped into the engine to keep a constant power delivery to the wheels?

I think this is more to do with the compressor pump coming 'on line' via the clutch, rather than the fans kicking in.
I know what you mean - can be annoying when trying to maintain a steady 5mph in 2nd only for the air con pump to suddenly engange and slow you down, and then moments later (when you've corrected the throttle) for the opposite to happen. Don't have any experience of other car's aircon, so don't know if the scoob is better or worse.
Also need to remember the aircon is on when making a lazy-ish low rev get-away from a junction, as the turbo seems to take an age to spool up!!
