asked the very same question myself 2 weeks ago when i joined! think it gets asked alot,

as far as my knowlege goes, its a sensor conected to LED's that detects noise from the engine that shouldnt be there ie det's, good for seeing if your car is running ok on SUL (or not) if you have a jap import. also gives you a bit of warning if somethings in the process of going horribly wrong and can allow you to avoid damage (possibly)

prob get a techie say all i saids BS and i should of spent this time sleeping

you're right, this gets ask A LOT

If you do a search on knocklink, you should find more details. Basically it's a type of monitor for displaying any detonation in your engine.

Do a search in Google on detonation and you'll find more on what that's all about.
